日本の鳥　富士山奥庭を訪ねて　　Birds in Japan Mt. Fuji Okaniwa Birds Sanctuary

今回は富士山5合目の奥庭荘にあるる水場を訪ねて見ました。奥庭荘のご主人が作られた池だそうで、ご主人がポリタンクで下から運んできた水を毎日入れてらっしゃいました。
This time we visited so called Birds Sanctuary at Mt. Fuji.　There is a mountain hut at the 4th station of Mt. Fuji called Okaniwa-So. The owner of he hut made small ponds for birds. He carries the water from the mountain foot and pours the water to the pond every morning. For birds, it is very difficult to find water in Mt Fuji so a lot of birds come here to drink and to bathe. So do many birds watchers.

富士山に到着する前に、足柄のサービスエリアでみつけました。４羽いました。ちょっと離れた所に親がじっとしていたので巣立ちを促し促していたのかもしれません。
　We saw baby swallow at the Ashigara service area. There were 4 and were very cute.

5合目からの富士山です。まだ雪はありません。８月２９日です。
Mt. Fuji from the 4th station. August 29th. No snow yet.

私たちはこの日は奥庭荘に泊まることにしていたのでまずチェックイン。２階の水場が真下に見える絶好の部屋をもらえたので部屋からのんびり撮影できました。最初に現れたのはホシガラスです。すぐ目の前でした。
　We checked in the hut first. They gave us the best room above the water pond so we could take photos from our room. The first guest was Spotted Nutcracker. Just in from of us.

それから水場に降り、　then went down to the pond,

水浴びです。 And started to bathe.

ここからはウソ、オスです。From here Eurasian Bullfinch、Male.

ずぶ濡れにになる前の数少ない写真です。Before bathing. The father is still fluffy.

まず水場の上の溶岩の石垣に降り、First down on the lava brick　piled up behind the pond,

水場に降りて、Down to the pond,

一浴びするとこの通り。After bathing.

この日は暑かったせいか、もうビショビショです。It was a hot day, so they continued to bathe.

またまた水浴び。Again Bathing.

　さんざん水を浴びてもしばらくはまだ水の中でした。余韻を楽しんでいたのでしょうか。
After bathing for a quite a long time, he was still in the water.

他にも色々現れましたがそれはまた後で。夕食後、赤富士を見に行きました。富士山の夕景です。
We saw others but I will upload the rest next time. After the dinner at 5:00 o'clock we went to see red Fuji. Here some photos of Mt. Fuji in the evening.

奥庭編その２です。 Birds Sanctuary at Mt. Fuji part-2

朝４時半に起き、まず朝焼けの富士です。We got up at 4:30 to see Mt,Fuji in the morningning.

さて、奥庭を訪れた目的はこの子、キクイタダキです。初日は見られませんでした。2日目、２時過ぎにようやっと来てくれました。あっという間に来てあっという間に水に入ってあっという間に行ってしまいました。２度ほど来てくれまひが、動きが早くてピンボケばかりでやっと撮れたのがこれだけです。しかも水に入った後だったのでずぶ濡れです。キクイタダキの名は、頭の上の黄色の羽が菊の花をいただいているように見えるのでこの名があるそうです。黄色の真ん中には実はオレンジの部分もあるのですがビションれであまりよくは見えません。
　The purpose to visit this place is to seen this birds, Goldcrest. As the name shows it has yellow crown on the top of the head. In the middle of the yellow part, you can see a little bit of orange part. If it's not get wet and maybe when to appeal to female it shows the crown.

つぎはウソ。頭が茶色いが幼鳥です。
This is young Eurasian Bullfinch.

この子も幼鳥。This is also young Eurasian Bullfinch.

ウソ幼鳥とルリビタキ幼鳥です。Young Eurasian Bullfinch and young Red-flanked bluetail.

こちらは成長メス。頭が黒いのがメスです。 Eurasian Bullfinch, female.

この子もすぐ水に入って、Soon enter the water,

あっという間に濡れ鼠、なら濡れ鳥。Gets wet completely.

こちらはコガラ。大好きな鳥ですが小さくて速くて、写真収めるのが難しい子です。Chickadee　　It moves very quick and very difficult to take photos.

しばらく木の実などを食べて、 Eating seeds,

ちょっと休憩。Resting for a while,

下に降りて、Goes down,

水浴びです。Then enter the water.

奥庭編その3,最終編です。 Birds Sanctuary at Mt. Fuji part-３

奥庭展望台付近から見た富士山。まだ雪はありません。夏は下界の暑さを避けて様々な野鳥がここまで上がってくるようです。
Mt.Fuji from Okaniwa Observatory. No snow yet. A lot of birds come up here to avoid the heat at the lower places.

奥庭で見た鳥たち、あと少し紹介します。まずはルリビタキ。
I want to introduce some more birds we saw at Okuniwa garden, First、 Red-flanked bluetail

幼鳥です。顔にぶちのあるのが幼鳥だそうです。Juvenile。Juvenile has spot on its face.

早速水に入ります。Enters the pond soon.

あっという間にずぶ濡れ。Gets wet soon.

別の子登場。 Another Juvenile comes.

ちょっと日向に。

幼鳥ですが尾の色はしっかりルリビタキです。Juvenile but the color of the tail is beautiful blue just as the adult.

この子は顔に斑がないので多分メス成鳥です。

最後はヒガラです。　The last one is Coal tit

小さくて可愛い子ですが、これも動きが早くて写真にするのが難しい子です。
Little cute bird but moves very quickly and difficult to take photos.

この子は色が薄いので幼鳥だそうです。It might be a juvenile because the color is pale.

水に入ってまったりです。

奥庭にある天狗岩。
They worship a rock called Tengu- Iwa. Tengu is a Mythical creature with long nose. It is said that Tengu often played around here because the view from here is so beautiful..
